Nokomis Public Library temporarily closed

Nokomis Public Library temporarily closed

NOKOMIS -- For two weeks, the Nokomis Public Library will be closed due to making the final transition and moving to its new location.

The library closed Monday while staff, project managers, and volunteers help with the move from the city complex to its new site at 100 N. Spruce.

As due dates approach on items currently checked out, patrons are asked to return them at the dropbox at the old location at 22 S. Cedar.

For those wishing to renew their items, they can be renewed online. After clicking on My Account, then Items Out. Select the items to renew, then click on the Renew button. Selections without a check box will not be eligible for renewal.

With the temporary closure, the library also recommends patrons go to Hoopla Digital to instantly read, listen, and watch its offerings.

"Hoopla has e-books, audiobooks, comics, movies, and television shows. You only need your library card," said library director Lisa Casterline. "This is something that is always available to our patrons. We recommend using it while we relocate to our new building."

Additional electronic reading options are also available on the library's website.

Updates will be available throughout the move on the Nokomis Public Library Facebook page.

The library will reopen at its new location on Tuesday, June 20.
