AEW delays four live event shows further to summer 2021
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- All Elite Wrestling (AEW) management made an announcement Friday regarding some live events that were upcoming. The announcement reveals that several upcoming events will be under rescheduling for 2021.
Dynamite live shows in Rochester, St. Louis and Houston will be in June 2021
Dynamite will be awaiting their official regional debut in Rochester, N.Y. on June 16, 2021. This is the third rescheduling for the Blue Cross Arena. The original March 18 date was supposed to be the AEW special AEW Blood and Guts and mark the debut for Dark Order leader Brodie Lee. Prior reschedule dates were July 8 and November 11.
Fans who were anticipating the Chaifetz Arena show in St. Louis on October 7 will have to wait another eight months. AEW officials are rescheduling the show to June 23, 2021. Originally on the schedule for April 8 was rescheduled earlier this year to the October date.
The decision is likely due to a fall sports ban enactment by St. Louis County Executive Dr. Sam Page. Despite calls for the ban to be repealed, holding the event would have been counterproductive by having to relocate to a venue out of the county but within the same region.
To cap off June 2021, AEW is going to make another attempt at the Fertitta Center on the campus of the University of Houston. Previously set for April 29, the show will now attempt to go live on June 30, 2021.
