MJF ends run with Major League Wrestling: report

Maxwell Jacob Friedman, better known as MJF, has ended his run with Major League Wrestling (MLW).

Friedman debuted in MLW in October 2017, defeating Jimmy Yuta in his debut match at MLW One Shot. This past weekend on MLW Fusion, the super-heel lost against Mance Warner in a "Loser Leaves Town" match.

High praise from Court Bauer for MJF

MLW CEO Court Bauer thanked MJF for his service to the company, stating he left “an indelible mark on MLW.” Additionally, Bauer adds that MLW “paid a price for his presence. And we’d do it again in a heartbeat.”

MJF: One of the best heel trash talkers

Friedman became one of the very best heel talkers in the independent wrestling circuit. His joining MLW would help expand before a national audience. This was a result of MLW signing a TV deal with BeIN Sports. This is according to a report from The Last Word on Pro Wrestling's Jamie Greer.

Friedman would later form the stable The Dynasty alongside Richard Holliday and Alexander Hammerstone. As a result, the stable would have lengthy feuds with members of The Hart Foundation: Teddy Hart, Davey Boy Smith Jr. and Brian Pillman Jr. He would also win tag team and middleweight championships during his tenure in MLW.

The future of The Dynasty

MJF's departure makes The Dynasty a three-member stable. However, the addition of Gino Medina to the group earlier this year will help mark a new era in MLW history.

MJF's future in wrestling

MJF will continue to wrestle wherever he can. Moreover, his duties will not be limited to All Elite Wrestling, where he has been working since 2019.
