Video footage of KK Grandhi talking to his support team during the bidding process for Khaleel has gone viral, one where he's seen heard saying, "I'm going to f*ck around till 5," a statement which alluded to him only being in the race for Khaleel to take the player's value to Rs.5 crore before pulling out and allowing Mumbai to purchase.
However, the tables turned on the GMR bigwig as the Ambani's decided they didn't want to break the bank for Khaleel as they pulled out of the bidding process to see Delhi land the player for Rs.5.25 crore. And Grandhi's expression as Mumbai pulled out and Delhi were left with the player on their hands was a testament to the raw deal the club had been cut owing to their owner's antics.
