While it was a known fact that Cristiano Ronaldo won't in the reckoning for this year's Ballon d'Or, the Portuguese is refusing to take things lying down after ending up in sixth place.
Ronaldo who decided to abstain for the awards altogether had gone on an incredible tirade against a France Football editor right before the ceremony. In a lengthy Instagram post, Ronaldo had berated the editor who had claimed that Ronaldo's only goal in life was to finish his career with more Ballon d'Or trophies than Lionel Messi.

However, that wasn't the only bit of lashing out Ronaldo was busy indulging in as Messi won his seventh award. Ronaldo has been spotted liking Instagram posts which talk about how Lionel Messi didn't deserve to win the 2021 award and how Ronaldo had the award stolen away from him by Messi.

Ronaldo even went onto comment factos which translates into facts in English on a post which not only went onto blow the Manchester United payer's horn but also discarded Messi's career and belittled the PSG man. Ronaldo's current online behaviour comes across as no surprise with his decadent personality well documented, a person who has not failed to throw tantrum's when things don't swing in his favour.
The Ballon d'Or organisers have meanwhile been accused of disrespect towards both Ronaldo and host Didier Drogba after pictures of the two posing in their underwear were shown at the awards. Messi took home the coveted prize with 613 points while Lewandowski finished second.
