Hi I am Yulie I live in United States now, I love to cook authentic Filipino recipes. Have you been in the Philippines yet? When you travel to Philippines make sure you go to Cebu City. Philippines is not only famous on beautiful beaches, its also very tropical and friendly people. Cebu is very famous for nice restaurant. They are famour for cooking different types of pork recipes. I currently live in the U.S. and sometimes miss authentic Filipino food that I always ate from back home.
I miss eating the famous Philippines food, and all fresh fish, tropical fruits. Even though I cant eat the famous Filipino food that made by Filipino Chefs, I still can eat my favorite Filipino food, because I know how to cook it. Beside here in United States has most of the ingredients for cooking of my favorite Filipino food. I will share my Filipino recipes for you guys, so you could try my famous Filipino food. There is many kinds of Filipino Recipes but my favorite to cook is pork. Filipino Pork Recipes / Pork Humba, Pork Sinigang, Pork Merchado. It is very easy to cook with easy to follow directions.
Prep time: 15 Mins
Cooking time: 1 hour
Total time: 1 hour & 15 Mins
Ingredients
2 lbs pork shop into servings size
1 cup Pineapple juice
1 large onion, sliced
5 cloves garlic, chops
2 tablespoons salted black beans
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons vinegar
5 pieces dried bay leaves
1 teaspoon whole peppercorn
onion leeks
Instructions for Pork Humba
Brown the pork in a cooking pot on low medium heat.
Add the onions and garlic and cook Put in the soy sauce, peppercorn, bay leaves
Pour-in the pineapple juice and let boil.
Simmer until the pork is tender (add water as needed)
Add the vinegar and wait for the mixture to re-boil.
Simmer the pork humba for 3 minutes
Spoon-in the salted black beans, then simmer for 11 more minutes
Transfer to a serving plate and serve. hope you like my pork humba recipes.

Pork Sinigang
Prep time: 15 Mins
Cooking time: 1 hour
Total time: 1 hour & 15 Mins
Ingredients for Pork Sinigang Soup
2 lbs pork chops into servings size
1 bunch water spinach or chinese cabbage
3 tbsp fish sauce
1 bunch string beans, Cut in 2 inch length
2 pieces medium sized tomato, quartered
3 pieces chili (or serrano pepper )
1 tbsp cooking oil
2 liters water
1 large onion, sliced
1 pack sinigang mix (good for 2 liters water)
Instructions for Pork Sinigang Soup
Heat the pot and put the cooking oil.
Sauté the onion until it turn into brown.
Add the pork belly and cook until outer part turns light brown.
Put in the fish sauce and mix with the ingredients.
Pour the water and bring to a boil.
Add the tomatoes, Then simmer for 40 minutes, Until the pork is tender.
Put in the sinigang mix and chili.
Add the string beans (& other vegetables if there are any) and simmer for 5 to 8 minutes.
Put in the spinach, turn off the heat, & cover the pot,
Let the spinach cook using the remaining heat in the pot.
Its better to serve this soup when it hot, yummy,

Pork Merchado Filipino Style Recipe
Prep time: 15 Mins
Cooking time: 1 hour
Total time: 1 hour & 15 Mins
Pork Merchado Ingredients needed :
2 pounds of pork
1 cup potatoes, diced
1 medium carrot, cubed
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 piece lemon
1 small chopped onion
3 cloves of minced garlic
1 teaspoon sugar
3/4 cup tomato sauce
1 cup water
2 tbsp cooking oil
2 to 3 pieces dried bay leaves
Salt and pepper to taste
Instruction for pork Merchado
Combine pork, soysauce, & lemon in a bowl.
Marinate for at least 1 hour. Heat oil in a pan.
Saute garlic and onion.
Add the marinated pork. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes.
Pour in tomato sauce and water and then add the bay leaves.
Let boil & simmer for 35 minutes to an hour depending on the toughness of the pork. Note: Add water as necessary.
Put in potatoes, carrots, sugar,salt, and pepper.
Stir and cook for 8 to 12 minutes. I love pork merchado recipe... Sarap!! (Yummy).
