I will give you the recipe directions for filipino food cooking using ingredients in the U.S. I always love to cook and eat. But i am always looking for a healthy food to eat. I love to cook any kinds of filipino food but just the healthy ones hehe. I am not really a big fans of greasy food. I am going to share my 3 favorite food to you guys and I hope you will enjoy it. It is easy to cook.

My favorite Chicken Adobo Filipino Syle
Prep Time 50 Mins
Cooking Time 45 Mins
Total Time 1 hour 35 Mins
Ingredients
2 Lbs Chicken, cut into serving pieces
3 or more pieces dried bay leaves
4 tbsp soy sauce
3 tbsp vinegar you can use all kinds of vinegar
4 gloves garlic crushed
1 to 2 cups water
black pepper
A little salt just for taste
Instruction for cooking Chicken Adobo
In a large pot, combine the chicken and all the ingredients and let it cook

Ingredients
A whole chicken, or breast cut into serving pieces
1/2 green papaya, or chayote cut into wedge
1 medium onion, chopped
ginger cut into strips
2 tbsp fish sauce lemon grass
onion leaves
chinese cabbage
green bell pepper
1/2 tbsp salt
Note : I planted my own lemongrass last year and used lemon grass in many Pilipino dishes that I cooked. Lemon grass grows really good in the midwest during the summer months.
Put 3 cups of water into large cooking pot Put the Chicken and all the ingredients let the chicken cook Put the papaya or chayote then put the chinese cabbage

Chicken halang-halang is pretty spicy!
Prep time 15 mins
Cooking Time 45 mins
Total time 1 hour
Ingredients
2 Lbs Chicken, Cut into serving pieces
1 can coconut milk
1 medium onion, chopped
5 gloves garlic crushed
ginger chopped into tiny
serrano pepper chopped very small, or chili flakes
lemon grass
green papaya or chayote chopped into wedge
2 tbsp soy sauce
1/4 black pepper
3 tbsp cooking oil
green bell pepper
Instructions
heat the oil in a cooking pot
When the oil is hot, saute the onion, garlic, ginger, serrano pepper until it turn to brown
Put the chicken and cook until light brown
Put the coconut milk, let it boil, add lemon grass, papaya or chayote stir, cover and the heat to medium. cook for 18 to 20 mins or until it fully cooked
Remove the cover, put soy sauce and black pepper, and chile flakes ( if desire )
There you go enjoy be careful its hot
