Well, in Australia, it is an all-too-familiar occurrence. A fact that snake catcher Elliot Budd from Townsville, QLD can attest to. Not once, but twice, last year he was called to remove snakes from not 1, but 2, North Queensland dunnies. In an interview with CNN, Budd shared...
"The first snake was 3 metres long (9.8 feet) and the second was 2.4 metres (7.8 feet)"
"It just comes down to the fact that it's really dry right now and they're looking for water... They are using a lot more water than they normally would so they need more water."
JUST HOW COMMON IS THIS PROBLEM?
A snake catcher from Queensland Wildlife Solutions told the Courier Mail he only retrieves 10 snakes a year from toilets, so it can happen, but it’s not likely that every household in Brisbane or even Australia will experience a snake emerging from their toilet bowl.

It’s not uncommon for a snake to find a hole in a sewer and slither its way up into your toilet bowl. The most common reason they choose this path is to catch their food, like mice or rats that have also found themselves in the sewer (or your home) if rain or storms entice them to find shelter.
IT SURE CAN BE DANGEROUS!
Attaporn Boonmakchuay, 38, told Thailand's Channel 7 he struggled with the 3-metre python for half an hour after it came up through the plumbing and bit him on the penis.
"I fought it. I called my wife and she went to get the neighbour," he said from his hospital bed.
"It took about a minute for the neighbour to get here. And all of a sudden, while I was holding it, it began to lose some strength so I used my hand to prise open its mouth. Then the snake released its grip by itself."

He fainted from loss of blood after removing the snake. OUCH!!
