Christie's presents the first NFT art auction in Asia
From 17 to 28 September 2021, Christie's presents "No time like present", the first NFT art sale by an international auction house in Asia.

Among the highlights of "No time like present" are Yuga Labs' Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), a group of CryptoPunks created by Larva Labs, as well as the latest work from this group of creators, Meebits. This auction marks the first time that BAYC and Meebits have been offered outside of any NFT trading platform.
With this auction, Christie's aims to mark another milestone in the NFT (non fungible token) art market. Christie's was the first international auction house to sell an NFT of a purely digital work of art, with the spectacular sale of Beeple's Everydays: the first 5000 days for $69.3 million (a record for a work sold online), followed by the sale of Larva Labs' Cryptopunks for $17 million.
In 2020, NFT marked reached more than $250 million. In 2021, it is estimated that the market for NFT works will be at least 10 times higher.
