Harvey Goldsmith in partnership with John Lewis and Leeds City Council are proud to present the inaugural OnRoundhay Festival, taking place on Saturday 17th September at Roundhay Park in Leeds. OnRoundhay 2016 is sister to the highly successful OnBlackheath Festival, now in its third year in London, and presents a fantastic day of live music with mouth-watering food and drink experiences along with a fun-filled program of entertainment for all ages.
OnRoundhay 2016 marks the opening of the new John Lewis Victoria Gate flagship department store in Leeds.
It will be the first time a major music event has been held on Roundhay Park for over 10 years, the last being Robbie Williams in September 2006 and also a welcome return to Leeds for Harvey Goldsmith, having previously promoted concerts at Roundhay Park featuring Bruce Springsteen, Madonna and The Rolling Stones.
Confirmed to headline are English indie giants James alongside Scottish rock legends Primal Scream and Wolf Alice. A number of local bands complete the line-up presenting what promises to be a fantastic day of live music.
OnRoundhay 2016 will also feature an array of exciting attractions including the John Lewis Food Village with the Chef’s Demo Stage full of celebrity chef personalities
Following huge success at OnBlackheath, Puffin Books will be hosting the Family Area at OnRoundhay. Puffin World of Stories takes the magic of well-loved children’s books and brings them to life in a fun, immersive zone for 2-12 year-olds. With story-telling at its heart, Puffin World of Stories allows children to see, hear, touch and re-imagine books and their characters including Peter Rabbit, Wimpy Kid, The Clangers and so much more. With a jam-packed schedule of stage performances, games, arts and crafts, music, and outdoor adventures, Puffin World of Stories will inspire your young adventurers with a day of book-filled fun.
OnRoundhay 2016 embraces families as under 12s go free!
The Festival is open from 12.00 midday until 11pm.
