" In its 15th year, Pantiero Festival 2016 offers a line up with the focus on the international contemporary music scene, once more with a balance between established artists and the newly discovered artists that are integral to the festival’s DNA. This balance of pop and rock has for some years now formed the bedrock of the Pantiero Festival 2016 programme.

Faithful to La Femme, Pantiero’s favourite group that appeared in the line up in 2011 and 2014, on 19 August the festival offers an evening built around and rooted in the delightful decade of the 80s. It is not a nostalgic revival however because Jessica93’s dark rock skank riff and Grand Blanc’s synthetic abrasive pop are ultra-modern!

The evening of 20 August, meanwhile, will be the opening night for world music. St Germain, pioneer of the French Touch, with a West African calabash presents his new live show with 9 musicians on stage! It will be preceded by the Berlin-based Africaine 808, the currently very popular global polyrhythm specialists, and also the producer Débruit with his insatiable tropical appetites. He’s back from Istanbul with an electro album with Middle Eastern sounds, a genre that we are gradually discovering and that seems inexhaustible. "
