The Main Square Festival 2016 is an annual international music festival organized by Live Nation which takes place in the first week-end of July in Arras, France. Created in 2004 by France Leduc Productions, the festival rose to one of the major music events of the country, attracting worldwide famous bands and stars like Coldplay, Depeche Mode, Placebo, Muse, Indochine or Metallica.
Held at the beautiful Citadelle d'Arras, Main Square Festival 2016 brings a superstar-bloated lineup to the historical setting.
More than 120,000 descend on the town every year, drawn by the festival's diverse lineup, that in 2015 put Pharrell Williams alongside Muse, and the idyllic, quiet corner of France it resides in.
With a population of just 45,000, charming streets and town squares, Main Square's Arras takeover is totally unique in that it brings such big names to the most inconspicuous of locations, and there's no mud in site.
The camping site, easy to reach by foot from the festival ground, has been specially laid and equiped near the fortificated citadel (You will need about 15minutes from the Citadel). It is situated on the same level as the avenue Jean Zay and the Savary high school. Shuttles will ensure the transport between the station and the camping site. And a little train between the Citadel and the camp-site.

Arras is in the North East of France, not far from the Belgium border, and was established during the Iron Age by the Gauls.
Main Square Festival takes place at the spectacular Citadelle d'Arras, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site, and is therefore internationally recognised as a place of special cultural significance.
