Les Eurockéennes 2016 is an independent festival in Eastern France that awakens for three days and three nights of musical extravaganza on the first weekend of July. It is produced by the non-for-profit association Territoire de Musiques. It is nestled on the Malsaucy peninsula, a protected area and truly unspoiled location surrounded by two stretches of water.
The Belfort festival is fond of promoting civic values, such as solidarity and the sense of sharing. Year after year, Territoire de Musiques’s social responsibility program: Eurocks solidaires, goes into action. Their aim is to develop access to culture for all; within a wide community that experiences the Eurocks as a musical holiday in another world. With Territoire de Musiques, all universes of popular music are explored: rock, pop, electro, reggae, French chanson or world music. Year after year, major genres can always find a friendly ear at Eurockéennes. It is true, superstars of yesterday have always had a place of honour at the festival, which, at the same time, is also particularly open to newcomers in the industry. They both are vibrant expressions of their time.
Les Eurockéennes 2016 is one of France's huge multi-genre music festivals. Rock, pop, indie, electronic and even urban are represented in waves, with a now 26-year-old history keeping it at the top table of European music festival.
Non-profit, eco-friendly and still totally independent, Les Eurockéennes brings the biggest bands and artists to its world-renowned stages, having broadened out from rock-focused beginnings to encompass as diverse a range of genres as you'll find.
Flanked by the serene waters of the Lac de Malsaucy, the festival site is also one of the most distinctive in Europe. Here's to another quarter-century of top-line eclectic madness.
