Elon Musk, once again, wowed investor with his ambitions: this time, during a Tesla Autonomy Investors Day, he announced a vision to deliver 1 million self-driving cars by end of 2019.
What caught my attention even more, are plans to launch its own "Robotaxi" service as well as introduce an interesting method to lease Tesla Model 3: If you lease a Model 3, you won't be able to buy it at the end of your contract - Tesla wants it back. This will help the company build up its standing fleet for a future robotaxi service in areas that don't have enough owners willing to share their vehicles.
