Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat has submitted his resign to BJP President JP Nadda. If sources are to be believed, constitutional crisis has been said to be behind this.
CM has said in their letter that according to Article 164-A, he had to win member of the Legislative Assembly within six months after took charge of the Chief Minister. Article 151 states that if there is less than one year left for the assembly elections, then bye-elections cannot be held there.

In such situation, Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat has tendered his resign to the party president Nadda so that there is no constitutional crisis in Uttarakhand. However, sources also say that Chief Minister Tirath can meet the Governor tomorrow. As of now, no formal confirmation of this has been made from anywhere.
Let us tell you that by-elections are to be held in the Gangotri assembly, the stronghold of Uttarakhand Chief Minister. He was elected a Lok Sabha member from the Bharatiya Janata Party in the 2019 general election. Along with this, he has been the former Education Minister of Uttarakhand.

However, on a question asked in Delhi regarding the monsoon session of Parliament, CM Tirath Singh Rawat clearly said that he will not only attend it but will also attend, that is, will CM once again come in the role of MP.
