03.07.2016 - The Nobel Peace Prize laureate and Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel has died. Wiesel was an influential author who wrote almost sixty books including his memoir "Night" which was based on his experiences as a prisoner in Auschwitz concentration camp. Romanian-born Wiesel was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1986 for his work in speaking out against violence.
