Don't Be Fooled ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’ Was Very Good

No Solo Spoilers
I finally broke down and watched ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’. In truth, I was looking forward to seeing 'Solo,' but I mistakingly bought into the "Disney is SJW'ing Star Wars" talk that was dominating the social media sites leading up to 'Solo's" opening weekend.
But a Virginia weekend full of nothing but dreary rain, made me change my mind and I broke down and headed for the theaters, and I was shocked that I came out of the theater cursing myself for listening to all the Internet BS. I wish I had those first 30-minutes back waiting for all the talk to come true, so I could finally hate the movie, but that moment never arrived.
I was never a huge Star Wars fan after the original three, I've been a Star Trek fan ever since TOS. In spite of my bias for Star Trek, in my opinion it's ten times better than and most other Star Wars movie. Hell, after Mr. Remake himself J.J. Adams wrecked havoc on my beloved Star Trek, and then basically did a remake of the original Star Wars episode IV, things wasn't looking good for the franchise.
The only really well done Star Wars movie since 'Return of the Jedi,' was Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Thankfully that was a one and done which probably made the movie even better.
When Chris Pine was tabbed to play a young James T. Kirk, he was placed in an impossible position. Pine could never replace William Shatner, so he did the next best thing, he didn't bother trying. Ehrenreich similarly never tried to play a knockoff of Harrison Ford, instead, he played Han Solo in the Alden Ehrenreich way.
As far as the rest of the cast everyone did a fine job, the only criticism I would have was watching Woody Harrelson playing the same part, the same way as he has done in his last 85 movies, and it's way past a little boring to watch.
So, Ignore all the talk, and all the #BoycottSolo SJW BS, it's nothing that the Internet has proclaimed... Shocking I know, the Internet trolls are wrong.
If you get a chance give ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’ a try, I'm sure you'll be as pleasantly surprised as I was.
