Maryland Armed Resource Officer Prevents Another Parkland
Following the school shooting in Florida, President Trump and Republicans called for putting more armed officers in schools and training and arming teachers to keep students safe.

Using pawns like David Hogg and his little band of misfits, Democrats screamed that more guns in schools would make students less safe. They even tried to play the race card saying 'Armed Students and officers would particularly endanger the lives of black kids.

Unfortunately, for Democrats, their rhetoric is rarely based in reality.
Guns SAVES Lives
Fox News reports that Austin Wyatt Rollins, 17 armed with a handgun opened fire at Great Mills High School in Maryland. Rollins was the only fatality after he engaged with an armed school resource officer, authorities said.

This was not a massacre like the Parkland, FL high school shooting because unlike the Broward Cowards, an armed resource officer had the courage to confront the gunman.

Due to the courage of school resource officer, Deputy Blaine Gaskill, he was able to prevent another Parkland massacre. Gaskill was alerted to the shooting, immediately responded and engaged the shooter. Gaskill, who is also a SWAT team member, was not injured in the shooting.

Police said Rollins used a handgun to shoot a 16-year-old female student who is in the ICU with life-threatening, critical injuries. A 14-year-old male student was also shot and is in stable condition.

St. Mary’s County Sheriff Tim Cameron stated:

“Our school resource officer was alerted to the event. he pursued the shooter, engaged the shooter, fired a round at the shooter. The shooter fired a round as well. In the hours and days to come, we’ll be able to determine if our school resource officer’s round struck the shooter,” 

Cameron also added that there were indications Rollins and the female victim had a prior relationship, which police are investigating as a possible motive for the incident.

It is interesting to note that despite the "Tougher Gun Laws" the Democrats are always pushing. Maryland has some of the toughest gun control laws in the country and not one of them deterred Rollins from attempting a mass shooting.

We know it's hard for Democrats to understand but criminals and crazy people could care less about tougher gun laws or signs declaring "This is a gun-free zone"
