Now if you're reading this you might be wondering what could be possibly the easiest way to make money from links? Does it requires some initial investment? Does it requires to make a whole new website with fancy design? No, no and no. So what does it take to make money from links? The answer is simple: short links.

You heard it right! Earning money from short links is one of the easiest method in which you do not require any technical skills, it is the simple method from which you can earn money online. You are not required to setup a website or to advertise a product that you, yourself, are not sure whether it's legitimate or scam. Okay, that went way too much. But the point is all you need to do is to just put your shortened link on other websites, social networks, Youtube videos, etc, and you'll already be making few bucks out of it. Nah, I am actually just kidding. That doesn't work, not unless if you're a Youtuber with millions of subscribers (I don't even know what I am talking about).

I am not going to teach you on how to copy and paste a URL, and this article definitely isn't about some magic strategy that will make you millionaire right on the first day. By the end of this article you will see short-linking as a whole new perspective. You'll see how easy it is to make money out of it without actually doing anything.

Let's not make this boring and lengthy and skip to the main point. A month ago I registered a domain, bought a Wordpress plugin (if I happen to include the name people would think I am advertising so I'd leave that one out) that will automate the content posting from sources like Mashable, Engadget, etc. Yes, I did gave them proper credits by putting a reference of the original article in the end, and yet even being duplicate content I happen to get a lot of traffic. Anyway by now some of you will be like "was this article supposed to be posted in 2010?" and I won't blame you guys because this strategy is outdated.. or is it?

By the time when I had over 5,000 articles published on my blog (of course all thanks to the plugin and the websites from where I was getting the articles), my daily visitors count went from 0 to 500 within two months. And it's still growing. Here's a screenshot from Analytics.



Now to some of you this might not be very impressive but when you take a look at it from a lazy person's point of view (obviously I am mentioning myself), it's actually pretty good. I mean I literally don't do anything, I barely even check to see what's happening and yet I am getting all these free visitors, and, and not to mention they're all organic visitors from Google.
How to make an income out of it?
I don't think I need to explain how to make money out of a website which visitor growth is increasing, traffic is mainly from US and it's all organic.. right? Just kidding. For the sake of this article I'll explain everything.

Before you start spamming your website with random shortened links, I suggest you think out of the box and come up with your own idea. What would be possibly the best way to redirect these nice juicy traffic into your shortened links? Well there are hundred and thousands ways to do that (not entirely sure on this statement), either by forcing them or asking them nicely. I highly recommend you ask them nicely because they'll more likely end up visiting your website again.

And yes, I am definitely going to teach you the ultimate magical strategy that will make your visitors automatically want to click the link by their own freewill. How? There's no how. There's no magic. What are you? Twelve? That's exactly what's making you limited to think out of the box.

Come up with something different, something unique. I mean how often do you go to websites, see the crappy design, notice the affiliates link, same old tactics and decide to just close the tab? I am quite sure you do a lot. (Where is this going?)



Nonetheless here's what I am going to do. I am going to suggest few plugins and a website for creating short links, from where you will be paid for the visitors you redirect. I know, I know you might have guessed what website I am going to suggest. Adf.ly! If that's what came first in your mind then you're wrong. I am not going to suggest Adf.ly. Reasons? Because I don't like it. I am going to suggest you a website that pays a lot more (per thousand views) that's what others claim (read it in an article).

The website is called Shorte.st. You heard it right. The name itself represents authenticity to the service it provides. I mean if you're searching for baseball bat and stumble upon a website called BurgersAndJellys.com, what would be your first impression? It would be something like, "what the f*ck" or "nope.", wouldn't it be? So yeah, Shorte.st for short links. And Adf.ly doesn't sounds to match the term "short links". Not that I hate it. Only my personal opinion.
Why Shorte.st?
Let's start with the traditional introduction of websites in your blog post: Shorte.st is a new URL shortening company. It claims to give you $2 per 1000 views and the minimum cash out is 5$. If your are not satisfied with payout then you can earn money from their referral system. It gives 20% commissions on referrals. Shorte.st is a user friendly and blah blah blah...

Now that you know what exactly is Shorte.st, I'll tell you exactly why I recommend it even when the referral programs for other shortening websites were much better.. just kidding! It's not my biggest intention to only get you here for the referral link.. well at least I won't force you.. if that's okay. Anyway here are some few features about Shorte.st that I personally like the most:

They'll pay you higher than any other link shortening website.
They have this cool complete stats feature available for all users in their dashboard.
They even have website scripts so you can double your earnings.
Some social widgets, WP & Blogspot Tools, Affiliates, APIs, etc...

This might not seem very great earning but imagine if I setup 5-10 different websites. Of course it's a hard thing to do but it's one time job. You configure the website one time, set it up to work automatically and earn from it. If a single website could make me $30 per month, imagine how much would 10 websites make? $300 for doing absolutely nothing? Remember it's now or never because in a few months almost everyone will be doing the same thing and it won't work. It's up to you to decide now.
