Nigerian New Breakout Star “Teni” releases her new Single of 2019- “Party Next Door”
Teni just got into the Nigerian music industry, but she has made a lot of waves when compared to some old artist. In less than one year, she has dole out some incredible singles and collabos.  In 2018 she released “Uyo Meyo” which became a huge success and trended for a long while. She also released songs like “Lagos”, “shakeam”, “Fake Jersey”, “Kolesi”, “Case”, “Askamaya”, and “Testify”. In the last two weeks she featured in a song by Boomboxx called “I dey proud”.

Teni has finally cemented herself as the most exciting and promising Nigerian afro pop star. Her first single of 2019 is influenced by the dancehall-influenced bop, "Party Next Door".

Her new single is produced by JaySynths – the beatsmith behind her 2018 hit, "Case". The music video of "Party Next Door" shows Teni lamenting about her lonely state, in order to alleviate her loneliness, she organizes a party next door, where they party until the sun comes up.

 

Just like her usual self, Teni sang effortlessly by mixing different genres in this new singles. She starts off by adopting Jamaican patois in her lyrics before soaring into British pop during the chorus, returning to her afropop origins only for the song's second verse.

 

"Party Next Door" shows how flexible Teni is, and it has become a very interesting aural experiment for her. The song is a party-starter and incorporates many different sounds for different tastes. It will definitely be a hit song for her and could win her some awards.
