Titles: Our artists and their PRs lack the basic knowledge on how to choose titles for their Videos on Youtube! Let's say I am an artist and my name is "Ngwa" and I get to release a video, " Ngwa show". When uploading my Video on Youtube, What will be the Title of my Video on Youtube? Most Cameroonians will title it on Youtube as "Ngwa Show Official Video" Oh my Gosh! If you've been doing this, I can assure you that you are not doing yourself any good. How many people know "Ngwa Show"? How many people do you think will use the keyword Ngwa Show on youtube or google to find your Video? If you are not good with keywords, get someone who is good at it to do the job for you! How do you feel spending money, time, talent among other scarce resources to produce a Video that will be viewed only by your family members, friends, acquaintances and probably Facebook referrals. Trust me, if not of Facebook, most Cameroonian Videos uploaded on Youtube will remain without any views for eternity. Titles are very important. If am to upload for example, "Ngwa Show" on Youtube, my title will look like: "Top Reality Shows, Ngwa Show among the best shows", "Top Shows 2017, Ngwa Show making rounds" etc. Choosing keywords is another thing, a thorough research needs to be done so as to ascertain the volume of traffic a particular keyword can drive to your video. From the research, "Top Reality Shows" is keyword phrase with a record of 222 unique high search volumes alternate keywords which will lead the searcher using any of the 222 keywords to your video.
Description: YouTube didn’t give you a video description box so you could leave it empty! Most Cameroonian Videos on Youtube bears little or no description. Here are the most essential elements you need in your description for every video (past and present!); it's never too late to revisit your Videos and do some editing
Description, a mini blog post description of the content of your video(50 -300 words) will suffice.
Your Keyword Phrase (at the beginning of the description)
After every 30 words, make sure to add your targeted keyword phrase
The Keyword density has to be between 0.6% - 2.6%, this depends totally on the word count of your description. For every 300 words description, your keyword should be found at least 10 times and at most 20 times.
Add Link/URL of your Video to the description

Upload Custom Thumbnail to Your Video: Get someone if you are not good at graphic designing to work on an outstanding thumbnail poster for your Videos. If you are a growing artist and want to be known out of Cameroon, avoid using thumbnails from your Video till you become popular and have converted your viewers to subscribers. If I were a rapper or musician, I would rather make a grid of images of Top American stars, Nigerians and use as my custom thumbnail. Go to your Video manager
Click edit on the video your want to Sync and transcribe.
Click on Subtitles/CC,
Select the default Language of your video.
Click on Add new Subtitles or CC. The transcript could be automatically added by Youtube, but it's preferable to do it manually since auto Syncing can be erroneous at times. Videos with Transcript gets ranked higher than those without transcripts.
Add Featured Content to your Videos: follow the steps below to add featured content to all your Videos.
Click on Your YouTube Channel settings
Look keenly and when you find additional features, click on "view additional features".
Under Status and features, Click on featured content.
2 options will be provided, click on the first one and a pop-up will appear. Select the option "most recent Videos". This will automatically add your most recent videos in all your YouTube Videos thereby increasing your overall views for every new Video you upload.
