One of the biggest bands out of the 519 is going on tour across North America in 2019. The Tea Party just announced The Black River Tour, making 35 stops across Canada and the US, starting in Kingston on March 16, and ending in Los Angeles on May 18, with stops in Guelph, London and Windsor. This announcement comes hot on the heels of their new single “Black River”, which was the #1 Most Added song at Active and Mainstream Rock Radio the week of release and debuted in the top 30.

The band will also give Toronto and Waterloo fans an advance opportunity to hear new music for the first time in four years when they play a small run of dates on December 27, 28 and 29.

"So looking forward to being back onstage with my soul brothers," says Jeff Martin, the band's guitarist and vocalist in a press release. "There’s nothing that compares to the rush I get when the Tea Party is firing on all cylinders. Our new single, Black River is a fine addition to all the musical moments we have in our arsenal. I’m excited to see its metamorphosis as the tour plays out."

The Tea Party have been nominated for numerous JUNO Awards and have received 22 MuchMusic Video Award nominations including three People's Choice Awards for Favourite Music Video. They have sold over 1.8 million records worldwide, as well as toured countless times throughout Canada, the United States, Europe, and Australia and are known for their musicianship, unique sound and stage presence. Last year the band celebrated the twenty-year anniversary of their ground-breaking album Transmission with a cross Canada tour.

Tickets go on sale on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018, at 10 a.m., except for Windsor, which still remains to be announced as of Dec. 4.
