Aaron Goodvin is Spirit River’s country music icon. The small-town Alberta singer/songwriter, who’s debut self-titled album has spawn three hit singles, is in the middle of a busy festival season that brings him to Ontario for the Boot Hill Jamboree on Friday (Aug. 3) in Bothwell and Boots and Hearts on Saturday, August 11 in Oro-Medonte just outside Barrie.

Aaron had his first taste of stage life when he entered a singing contest at the age of 12 at a local mall and started writing songs by 18. After signing with publishing powerhouse Warner Chappell Music, Aaron scored his first major league contribution with the track “Out Like That” on Luke Bryan’s multi-platinum "Crash My Party". Other artists followed, including Cole Swindell, Clay Walker and Scotty McCreery.

While the former St. Albert resident kick-started his Nashville career as a songwriter, his dream was always to sing his own songs. He eventually hooked up with country/pop artist and producer Johnny Reid and the rest is history. His debut album was released in 2016. Knock on Wood was his introduction to the music world, followed by the romantic Woman In Love, inspired by the love and passion of wife Victoria. His last single Lonely Drum has been beating on radio for a bit and became his second Top-10 hit.
