'Marvel's The Punisher' Release Date Leaks

Marvel fans may be seeing "Marvel's The Punisher" in just a couple weeks. While Netflix and Marvel have tried to keep the upcoming show's release date under wraps, it looks like the cat--in this case, grieving pissed off dude with muscles and guns for days-- is out of the bag.

According to Complex, a sharp-eyed redditor found the release date in an article from U.K. film magazine "Total Film." According to the mag, "The Punisher" will be coming to Netflix on Oct. 13, which is just a couple weeks out. Before this leak, only one other person has let slip any info on the upcoming Marvel series. Dearbhla Walsh ("Fargo"), who directed at least one episode of "Marvel's The Punisher," revealed to THR that the series would be coming in November. As the interview came out in May, the premiere date may have been moved up after excitement grew during SDCC when "The Punisher" star Jon Bernthal ("Sicario") made an appearance.
Speculation and excitement has continued to grow after Netflix released a teaser and an official trailer for the show, curiously leaving the premiere date censored out with a black bar. If Netflix had managed to keep the show's release under wraps until mid-October, fans might've made a bigger showing on its release day. Still, it's great to hear we'll be getting some more gritty content soon. In the meanwhile, fans can peep another teaser, which was just released on Monday. Watch it below.

On a side note, "Marvel's The Punisher" comes out just two weeks before "Stranger Things'" second season is set for release, which will certainly give horror fans a happy Halloween. October's shaping up to be a good one, folks.
