WATCH: Latest Trailer for Season 2 of Netflix's 'Stranger Things' is Here!

A new trailer and some new faces greeted "Stranger Things" fans at San Diego Comic Con, where the cast and showrunners spoke on a panel dedicated to their hit show. Season 2 features a greater monster threat, the return of Eleven, and even more iconic 1980s throwbacks. The upcoming season is set in 1984, where the people of Hawkins are still dealing with the aftermath of what happened in Hawkins Lab. Will Byers is back, but something still appears to have its grip on him.
Sadie Sink ("American Odyssey") and Dacre Montgomery ("Power Rangers") join this season's cast as Max, the new cute skater girl in town, and her brother Billy. In an interview with USA Today after the panel, showrunner Ross Duffer divulged, "She’s someone who the boys think is pretty cool — not all of the boys, a few of them. But she’s got a bit of a wall up that “drives them even more crazy. There’s a little competition for her attention.” Ross went on to describe her older brother as "a very scary real-world character that Dacre (Montgomery) brings to life incredibly well.”
The rest of our cast is back once more, and Finn Wolfhard ("Supernatural"), Millie Bobby Brown ("Intruders"), Gaten Matarazzo ("The Blacklist"), Caleb McLaughlin ("Shades of Blue") and Noah Schnapp ("Bridge of Spies") will all reprise their roles as the determined kids who will fight tooth and nail to protect each other. Natalia Dyer ("I Believe in Unicorns"), Charlie Heaton ("As You Are"), Joe Keery ("Henry Gamble's Birthday Party"), Winona Ryder ("Girl, Interrupted") and David Harbour ("Suicide Squad") will also return as the cavalry when the kids get in over their heads. Notably, Ryder was nominated for a Golden Globe for her work on the series, and stars Harbour and Brown were both nominated for their respective roles in the horror thriller series. Showrunners Matt and Ross Duffer ("Hidden") have also be critically praised for their writing, directing and producing the series.
