With Airforce Delta Konami brought an air shooter to the Game Boy Color. The game was developed by Climax.

Airforce Delta is also known under the title Deadly Skies in Europe. The game was released for Dreamcast in 1999.
The plot
In Airforce Delta you take on the role of a fighter pilot. He is allied with the losing side of a bloody civil war. Not much is missing for Armageddon. Your job is to stop this.
The game
In twelve missions you fly against your opponents. Destroy your enemies, make money, buy planes and save the world. Unfortunately there is little variety in the game. Much repeats itself over and over again. You navigate through enemy terrain and destroy the enemy base.
Under time pressure
Before that, you have to destroy a certain number of enemy planes and tanks in each level before the time runs out. When the time is up, you will run out of fuel and be torn to pieces.
The planes
In between missions you buy additional planes. There are eight of them: F5-E Tiger II, Mirage 2000, F-18 Hornet, Harrier, MiG-29, A-10 Thunderbolt, F-22 Raptor, and the XF-33 Experimental Space Jet.
Uniformity
Unfortunately, you won't notice any differences between the individual aircraft on the Game Boy Color. There are slight variations in speed and durability, but otherwise they control each other in exactly the same way. You cannot save yourself from a damaged airplane. Aside from destroying enemy planes, a boss plane appears every now and then.
Summary
Unfortunately, the game is very monotonous. Apart from the bosses, there is little variety. Graphically, the game gives a little more. The terrain is colorfully displayed, as is the breakneck speeds at which enemy vehicles shoot into the distance. The landscape changes afterwards, which gives the player more variety talk. The music goes perfectly with the game, as do the sound effects. It is only recommended for people who absolutely want to have played every flight game.
