Advent, Advent, one little candle's light

He dreams while sleeping at night,
Of jumping, fluffy sheep so white.
Advent, Advent, a second candle's glow,
He feels the time is starting to flow,
Hoping for a third candle's show.
In the dream's vast expanse so wide,
He turns on his side, snoring beside.
Advent, Advent, now the third one's bright!
He hears a sound, a hammer's pound,
Someone shouts, there's a whimper all around.
From deep below, he ascends above,
Drawn from time into the light with love.
Advent, Advent, the fourth candle's light!
He wakes up, opening his eyes so wide,
Sees a little elf by his bedside.
The elf, in haste, building toys had tried,
But hurt his thumb in his crafty stride.
The awakened man he sternly scans:
"You've slept enough, Christmas man!
Up! Up! We can't afford delay,
The time is now to be on our way!"
Advent, Advent, the moment's here,
We welcome Christmas with holiday cheer!
For the Holy Night, so pure and bright,
The Christmas man is now in sight!
