How Do We should Love Our Gay Friends
von britania herold
There are five references in the Qur'an which have been cited as referring to gay and lesbian behavior. The two main references to homosexual behavior are:
"We also sent Lut : He said to his people : "Do ye commit lewdness such as no people in creation (ever) committed before you? For ye practice your lusts on men in preference to women: ye are indeed a people transgressing beyond bounds." Qur'an 7:80-81
Lut is referred to as "Lot" in the Hebrew Scriptures. This passage is an apparent reference to the activities at Sodom and Gamorah. It seems to imply that there was no homosexual behavior before it first appeared in Sodom. This is a uniquely Islamic concept; it does not appear in Jewish or Christian beliefs. The passage also links the sin of Sodom (the reason for its destruction) to homosexuality.
"Would ye really approach men in your lusts rather than women? Nay, ye are a people (grossly) ignorant! (The Noble Quran, 27:55)"
There is a consensus among Islamic scholars that all humans are naturally heterosexual. People become homosexuals because of their environments. We as Muslims need to state unequivocally and unambiguously that homosexuality is a deviant behavior and that there is not even an iota of doubt that Islam condemns the behavior. Thus stated, we need to clarify, that it does not mean that we hate the homosexual person but rather that we find the behavior abhor able. We want to help with sensitivity and care whoever has these tendencies, or practices such behavior.
On other hand this is not right. Every human should have rights on their own choices. We can not support what is saying in religion. We should deny it. Love is Love. Love can not be happen within in fixed gender system. It also can be happen in different gender too.
We don't think the pure things can be sin. Love is blind. A man can love a man. They demand each other physically and mentally. If this is pure love ,there won't be any sin. So we support LGBT.
In Bangladesh sense the scenario should be changed. We should love human being. We should not hate them for their sexual orientation. Every mind, every life should have right to dream on. They should have freedom on their choice of sexual orientation. The LGBT peoples are so helpless. They are always seeking help from other person but there is none to help them. It is so painful.
Every Muslim I know says that being gay is a choice, which is just not true. I'm attracted to men the same way a straight man is attracted to women, and this was never a conscious choice on my part. It's like asking a straight man to suddenly start liking men: Is he going to be able to that? No.
I've accepted the fact that I'm gay, however it's now making me question my religion. If Allah forbids homosexuality, then why does he allow people to be born gay? My Imam says that being gay isn't actually a sin in and of itself, but it is a sin if you perform any homosexual acts. He told me I should just marry a girl, but is that fair to any girl that I marry? Am I meant to live without a partner for the rest of my life? Is that what Allah wants for me?
I've recently read the Qur'an and the things that happen to gay people after death has put me into depression. I just don't see the point in praying anymore when I know I'm going to burn in hell for something Allah has burdened me with.
So my question is, "If Allah forbids homosexuality, then why does he allow people to be born gay?" It's like we're guaranteed to go to hell as soon as we're born. Also, being gay, is it haram for me to marry a woman, or would it be haram for her to marry me?
