Kiss disease in children; close contact, saliva and throat secretions is a disease caused by transmission. Infectious mononucleosis to this disease, Eptein-Barr virus (EBV) or cytomegalovirus (CMV) is caused. Kiss disease does not have a certain age range, it is a disease that can be caught in every age group. The most common range is the 15-18 age range. Also, kiss disease is common in children under 5 years old. According to researches; Children under the age of 5 are infected with the Eptein-Barr virus with a kiss rate of 50%.



What are the Symptoms of Kiss Disease?



Known symptoms of kiss disease are:

Feeling weakness and tiredness High fever Pain in the throat Inflammation of the tonsils and enlargement of the tonsils Growth in lymph nodes Headache Growth accompanied by a feeling of fullness in the spleen area Liver enlargement rashes on the skin




What Is The Treatment Of Kiss Disease?



When you drink plenty of fluids, rest a lot, stay away from physical activities for a sufficient time; Kiss disease heals within a period of 2 to 4 weeks. Antibiotic therapy is useless in this process.
