Corona Update 2 July: India on Friday became the third country after the US and Brazil to cross four lakh deaths due to the Corona pandemic. There have been 853 deaths in the last 24 hours.

According to the data released by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Friday, 46,617 new cases were reported in the same period.
The US tops the list with six lakh deaths, followed by Brazil with 5.2 lakh cases of coronavirus.
The first death from Covid-19 in the country occurred in March last year. On May 23, 2021, the country witnessed the highest number of deaths with 4,454 deaths in 24 hours.
On June 30, India recorded 817 deaths due to coronavirus, the lowest since April 10. Friday is the 14th consecutive day in the last two months that the toll has remained below the 2,000 mark.
The total cases rose to 3,04,58,251 after India crossed the three crore mark on June 25.
India is the second country after the US to register more than 30 million cases by adding 10 million cases in the last 50 days.
This is the 24th consecutive day that less than one lakh new coronavirus cases were reported in India.
On June 29, 37,566 cases were reported in India, the lowest since March 18, while 42,640 cases were reported in India on June 22.
The active cases of corona have now come down to 6 lakhs. The country currently has 5,09,637 active cases and 4,00,312 deaths so far.
According to the Union Health Ministry, a total of 59,384 people have been discharged in the last 24 hours, taking a total of 2,95,48,302 people to discharge so far.
A total of 34,00,76,232 people have been vaccinated in the country so far, including 42,64,123 who were vaccinated in the last 24 hours, the health ministry said.
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research, 41,42,51,520 samples have been tested for Covid-19 till July 1. Of these, 18,80,026 samples were tested on Thursday.
