'Sakhi Project' of SBI for female banker is respecting efforts to empower: Anandiben Patel
Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel today launched 'Sakhi Project', at Raj Bhavan, an unique initiative on behalf of human resources for women employees working in State Bank of India (SBI).

On this occasion, she said that this is a unique effort by the State Bank for empowerment of female banker in its institution. With such efforts, confidence of the women employees at workplace increases and their work efficiency also increases by getting a beautiful environment.
On this occasion, she interacted with all the friends and congratulated them for making this unique solution a success. While encouraging the women by "Sakhi Project", the Governor motivated them to make them strong employees.
Ajay Kumar Khanna, Chief General Manager, Lucknow Division of State Bank of India informed that 'Sakhi Project' is entering its second year of success and is moving towards upliftment. It is our endeavour that the newly recruited women employees assimilate our banking system and work fearlessly and progress their career.
He told that under the Sakhi project, if the female banker is facing any kind of inconvenience in her work style, lifestyle and environment at her work place, then she brings it to the notice of the higher management in consultation with "Sakhi". Considering the prescribed policy guide line, all possible measures are taken to solve the problem so that the newly appointed women employees do not face any problem.
He informed that at present there are 366 newly appointed women employees in Lucknow division, who are being guided by 50 "Sakhis".
