Ayodhya: From today till July 31, "Sanchari Rog and Dastak Abhiyan" campaign was started in the Collectorate auditorium by District Magistrate Anuj Kumar Jha by administering oath to the officers, employees, journalists, dignitaries.

On this occasion, DM Jha said that, "Sanchari Rog and Dastak Abhiyan" was launched in March this year also and it is being run again. Its main objective is to cure people from fever, leprosy, breathing problems etc. In this, people are being told to wear a full sleeve shirt, always use the toilet for defecation, wash hands with soap before eating and if any symptoms of meningitis "Sanchari" (communicable) disease covid are observed, consultation with nearby health centres.
While administering the oath, he said, "We take an oath that we will do everything possible to prevent encephalitis, tuberculosis and Covid-19. We will take full care of the cleanliness of ourselves and our surroundings, toilets for defecation every time. Wash hands frequently with soap, always cover mouth and nose outside the house with a mask, keep a distance of 2 yards from others. If any child is suffering from fever in the village, their family should be given immediate medical attention. Will motivate to go to the hospital. If anyone has difficulty in breathing with fever or has come from such a Covid affected area or has come in contact with any Covid-19 infected person, then will inform the ASHA of the village immediately."
He further said, "We will not discriminate against COVID affected persons or anyone working for them. Together we will defeat encephalitis, COVID-19, tuberculosis and other infectious diseases."
In this work, the Urban Development Department has done the work of cleaning 185 drains, spraying larvicide, fogging, garbage disposal etc. A total of 119 wards, Municipal Corporation Ayodhya 60 wards, Nagar Palika Parishad Rudauli 25 wards, Nagar Panchayat Bhadarsa 11 wards, Nagar Panchayat Bikapur 11 Ward, Nagar Panchayat Goshaiganj 12 Ward).
Rural Development Department(RDD) and Panchayati Raj Department (PRD) has cut bushes number 951 by RDD and PRD in 391 villages of the district, marking number 9 of shallow head pumps, installation number 61 of India Mark 2 hand pumps, India Mark 2 hand pumps and their platforms. Repair number 285, filling of pits and waterlogging disposal number 712 and in the above selected villages by the Rural Development Department in coordination with the Health Department, anti-larval spraying will be done.
Animal Husbandry Department will sensitize 203 pig farmers in 85 villages of the district. 3-5 farmer sensitization meetings will be organized daily in each development block by the Agriculture Department. For the campaign, the Junior Engineers have been directed by the Irrigation Department to take care of the canals falling in their respective areas every day so that water does not accumulate from both the banks of the canal during canal operation. Mosquito repellent plants will be planted by the Horticulture Department in different gardens of urban areas on July 1, 3, 5, 8, 12, 15, 19 and 22 July 2021. In coordination with all the Departments, Information Department, micro plans have been prepared and implemented in the urban and rural areas of the entire district.
