Delhi: Capital of India, is facing scorching heat. The average temperature of Delhi is running three degrees Celsius above normal. The Meteorological Department is saying that there is not much chance of rain this week. Humidity has increased and so has the humidity.

Similar weather is also being seen in America and Canada. Both countries have feared 'dangerous' heat for their citizens. In Canada, the highest temperature ever recorded was recorded on Monday. It is also getting very hot in Sindh province of Pakistan. The mercury has crossed 50 degrees in Jacobabad.
In Delhi-NCR, where the month of May was generally very pleasant, June has caused equally trouble. On Monday, the mercury crossed 42 degree Celsius in Pitampura. The temperature of Gurgaon was also above 42 degrees. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be light clouds on Tuesday but there will be no rain.

Monsoon is expected to reach Delhi this week. The Meteorological Department has said that the conditions are not favourable yet. At present, Delhi is at number two among the least rain-fed cities in the country. So far, only 8.5 mm of rain has been received in the monsoon season.
According to the IMD's forecast, light rain may occur in Delhi after July 2. From next week onwards, a significant change in the weather can be seen.
On June 27, the heat broke records in the US and Canada. Schools and covid-19 testing centres have had to be closed. Meanwhile, cooling stations have been built in Portland, Oregon. Here people can relax. Some people even brought their pets.
