Tehran: Iran has deported 225 citizens of Pakistan from the country. These Pakistani nationals were sent back on Monday through the Taftan border in Chagai district of Balochistan province.

According to ARY News, all these people were arrested for illegally entering Iran. This is not the first time that Iran has expelled Pakistanis. Earlier, Iran has sent back more than 600 Pakistani nationals.
Iran and Pakistan are bordered by the Sistan and Balochistan provinces of Iran. Its length is 959 kilometers (596 mi). Iranian officials handed over Pakistani citizens to the Lewis Force.
They had entered Iran illegally and was arrested for not having valid travel documents. Lewis Force has handed over the exiled Pakistanis to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for further investigation.
According to media reports, last week Iranian authorities handed over 400 Pakistani nationals to border officials on charges of crossing the border illegally.
Earlier in April, Iran deported 203 Pakistanis through the same border town of Chagai district.
People often cross the border illegally in an attempt to reach Turkey, Greece and other European countries in search of greener pastures and become easy victims of human trafficking rackets.
A Lewis Force official told Dawn that Pakistanis in exile were trying to reach Turkey and European countries in search of better employment opportunities after illegally entering Iran.
