Dhaka blast: Seven deaths, more than 70 injured in Bangladesh
Dhaka: At least seven people have been deaths and more than 70 injured in an explosion in Bangladesh's capital Dhaka. Although the Dhaka blast caused damage to the vehicle and nearby buildings, officials are yet to ascertain the nature of the explosion.

Faislur Rahman, an official of the fire control room, said the blast took place in a building in Dhaka's Moghbazar area in the evening. Rescuers reached the spot after the incident.
Rahman said at least seven buildings were damaged in the blast. Dhaka Metropolitan Police Commissioner Shafikul Islam told reporters that at least seven people were killed in the incident and those injured were admitted to hospital.

Sajjad Hussain, Deputy Commissioner of Police in Dhaka, said, "Definitely it is a big explosion. Bomb disposal squad of the fire service and counter-terrorism unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police have reached the spot. Their experts are working together. They are responsible for the blast." Finding out the reasons and the damage caused by it.
Eyewitnesses said fragments of glass and debris of concrete were visible on the streets. Two passenger buses parked outside the building where the blast took place were badly damaged.
Dhaka-based Ekattor TV station said around 50 people were hospitalized, of whom 10 were in critical condition. It is not yet clear what caused the explosion. But the main building where the blast took place was a fast food shop. According to the information received, the reason for the explosion could be a faulty gas line or a gas cylinder used in the shop.
