Uttarakhand "Chardham Yatra" 2021, will get stated from this date

Dehradun: Uttarakhand cabinet on Friday gave its approval for starting the "Chardham Yatra" 2021, Badrinath Temple, Kedarnath Temple, Gangotri Temple and Yamunotri Temple for local devotees from July 1.

Giving information about the decision of the cabinet, the state cabinet minister and government spokesperson Subodh Uniyal said that local devotees will be able to perform "Chardham Yatra" from July 1. in this;
- Badrinath temple, resident of Chamoli district,

- Kedarnath temple, resident of Rudraprayag district,

- Gangotri temple, residents of Uttarkashi district and,

-  Yamunotri temple will be able to visit.
He, however, said that the number of devotees will be fixed daily to visit the temples, while the RT-PCR or antigen rapid test report of covid will be necessary.
Apart from this, he said that a senior officer will be appointed to organize "Chardham Yatra" 2021 and coordinate with the Devasthanam Board and the district administration who will also do the work of monitoring the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to COVID.
He said that a separate SOP would also be issued for darshan in the temples. When asked whether the "Chardham Yatra" 2021 will be opened for the residents of the entire state from July 11 as per the pre-determined plan.
The minister said that its decision will be taken keeping in mind the situation of covid. Subodh Uniyal said, “Right now there is a possibility of third wave of covid and delta type of virus. All the circumstances will be considered before taking any decision in this regard.”
