27 June Corona Update: 50,040 new cases of covid have been reported in India, which is slightly higher than on Saturday. Also, 1,258 people have died in the last 24 hours. These figures were shared by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Sunday.

The total number of cases rose to 3,02,33,183 as India crossed over 30 million COVID cases on Wednesday. This is the tenth consecutive day in the last two months that the death toll has remained below 2,000.
India has become the second country after America to register more than 30 million cases of covid. India has added about one crore cases of corona in the last 50 days.
This is also the 20th consecutive day that less than one lakh new coronavirus cases were reported in India. 47,262 cases were reported in India on 23 March while 42,640 cases were registered in India on 22 June.
The active cases of corona have now come down to 6 lakhs. The country currently has 5,86,403 active cases and 3,95,751 deaths so far.
According to the Union Health Ministry, a total of 57,944 people have been discharged in the last 24 hours, taking the total to 2,92,51,029 discharges so far.
Health Ministry said that a total of 32,17,60,077 people have been vaccinated in the country so far, of which 64,25,893 people have been vaccinated in the last 24 hours.
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research, 40,42,65,101 samples have been tested for COVID-19 till June 26. Of these, 17,77,309 samples were tested on Saturday.
