New Delhi: Kanta Prasad, popularly known as 'Baba Ka Dhaba' in Malviya Nagar, South Delhi, has been admitted to Delhi Safdarjung Hospital late on Thursday night. His condition is still critical. Delhi Police told that he has tried to commit suicide.
Police said that late on Thursday night, on a PCR call, information was received that a person had tried to commit suicide, who was rushed to the hospital.

In the matter, a senior police officer said- When the police reached the spot, it was found that he was Kanta Prasad. He is currently undergoing treatment in the hospital.
His wife told that he was depressed for the last few days. He had to close the restaurant that he opened in December last year and return to his old roadside stall 'Baba Ka Dhaba'.

She told that cost of running the new restaurant was about one lakh rupees and he was earning only thirty thousand rupees.
Last year, Kanta Prasad filed a complaint against YouTuber Gaurav Wasan in a cheating case. The complaint pertained to misuse of funds raised to help both the husband and wife.

Vasan had shot the viral video of Prasad and his wife on October 7 last year. In the video, the husband and wife were told about the paucity of customers at 'Baba Ka Dhaba' Restaurant located in Malviya Nagar. After the video went viral, many people came forward to help.
Kanta Prasad told an English newspaper in November 2020 that he had received a check of only Rs 2 lakh from Gaurav Vasan and claimed that people had come only to take selfies and that their sales had not increased due to the video.

However, Gaurav Vasan forgave Kanta Prasad after he was accused later. He also took a selfie with him during this time. In recent times, this issue has been the subject of much discussion in social media.
