PM Modi inaugurate crash course for Corona warriors
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Friday launch a specially designed crash course for the frontline corona warriors against the coronavirus.

A statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) said that with this the program will be started in 111 training centres spread across 26 states.
Prime Minister will also address this program organized through video conference. The Union Minister for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship will also be present on the occasion.

According to the PMO, objective of this program is to equip more than one lakh covid warriors across the country with skills and teach them something new.
PMO said that corona warriors will be trained in specific roles related to six functions such as care support, basic care support, advanced care support, emergency care support, sample collection support and medical equipment support.

Corona crash course program has been designed as a special program under the central component of Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana III with a total financial outlay of Rs 276 crore.
This will create skilled non-medical health workers to meet the present and future needs of the manpower in the health sector.
A short duration program is called a crash course for the purpose of imparting knowledge and skill development of a particular subject.
