The tournament is now hosted by Belgrade in Serbia. Indian Boxing Federation (BFI) President Mohammad Mustahasen has said that the championship will be held after next year's Tokyo Olympic Games.
Mustahsen said, "Due to the rescheduling of the Olympics, the Executive Committee of AIBA will discuss possible dates with the host country."
He added, "We hope that if the situation regarding the coronavirus remains controlled then we will organize the World Championship after the Olympic Games. The sooner the dates are set, the boxers will benefit from it. ”
