Thousands protest against gay marriage in Ecuador

Rosaries in hand and chanting religious songs, thousands of Catholics and evangelicals demonstrated Saturday in several cities in Ecuador against the decision of the Constitutional Court to allow civil marriage between people of the same sex.
In Quito, about 5,000 people walked in the historic center, police said. Similar marches took place in the coastal towns of Portoviejo and Quevedo, and in the Andean cities of Latacunga, Cuenca and Ambato, according to local media.....
