Three months after Christchurch, New Zealand launches arms acquisition

New Zealand launches on Thursday, June 20 the purchase of semi-automatic weapons like those used by the author of the attacks of the mosques of Christchurch which made 51 dead on March 15th. Premier Jacinda Ardern announced tougher arms legislation in the aftermath of the tragedy and the New Zealand Parliament strengthened the legislation very soon after the slaughter, the worst in the country's modern history.
