Reelection of Gianni Infantino as a president of FIFA.

Gianni Infantino was re-elected Wednesday at the helm of FIFA. He was the only candidate in the running, and already chairman of the governing body of world football since the departure of Sepp Blatter in 2016 and the withdrawal of the candidacy of Michel Platini.
Switzerland was elected by acclamation to the 211 member federations, two days before the opening match of the 2019 Women's World Cup in France.
His new term runs until 2023.
