Maduro accuses intelligence chief of treason

The former director of Venezuelan intelligence services (Sebin) is a "traitor" who supported the organization of a "coup", denounced Friday the President-in-Office, Nicolas Maduro.
In an address broadcast by state television, Nicolas Maduro accused Manuel Cristopher Figuera, who was the head of the Sebin until last Tuesday, to have contributed to the attempted uprising on April 30.
Maduro renewed his confidence in his defense minister, Vladimir Padrino, and in the chief of the Supreme Court, Maikel Moreno. According to Washington, which supports self-proclaimed President Juan Guaido, these two men have been discussing with the opposition plans to oust Nicolas Maduro.........
