Israeli air raids in Gaza after rocket fire

A Palestinian was killed Saturday in the Gaza Strip during Israeli army bombings in response to rocket attacks on Israeli towns and villages.
According to the army, 90 rockets were fired in half an hour, some of them long-range. Most of the projectiles were intercepted by the Israeli missile defense shield and no casualties were reported.
Israeli planes and tanks responded by bombarding the Palestinian enclave, killing a 22-year-old man and wounding four, medical services reported in Gaza.
Shots targeted Hamas positions and rocket launchers, the Israeli army said.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will be chairing a meeting of his security council that day, sources said in his office.
On Friday, two Hamas militants were killed in an Israeli-led air strike in response to an exchange of fire along the border during which two Israeli soldiers were wounded.........
