Afghan Taliban refuse to negotiate with Kabul

The Taliban refused Sunday to negotiate with the Afghan government next month, in Saudi Arabia, where their representatives are to meet with US envoys to begin the peace process.

A delegation of the Islamist militia met with members of the US administration on December 17 in the United Arab Emirates, but the movement remains hostile to any official contact with Kabul.
