Trump announces that Mike Pence will be his running mate in 2020

Donald Trump announced Wednesday that Mike Pence, the current vice president of the United States, had agreed to be his running mate for the 2020 presidential election. 

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Donald Trump announced on Wednesday that Mike Pence, the current vice president of the United States, has agreed to be his running mate again for the 2020 presidential election.

"Mike, will you be my runner?" asked the US president Mike Pence during a press conference at the White House. "The answer is yes," Donald Trump added after hearing the Vice President's response. "It was unexpected but I'm very happy," he added.
