Welcome to southeast Asia Philippines, Hi This is Yulie & Jeff Sullivan. Lets talk about Philippines,I am a Filipina. I am from Cebu City Philippines, but I am now living in United States after I get married to my husband from United States. My husband is a traveler, and after I met him in Cebu City, we decided to make traveling around the world a part of our life.
When I was in the Philippines, I began learning about life outside of the Philippines. I was always curious about the life that I could have after living in the Philippines for 10 years more. Philippines is a poor country, but there are many people that have money as well. There are many rich people but I never really see them helping the poor people which makes me sad. It is sucks, But most of the Filipino are very selfish.
Okay so me and my husband have decided to relocate to Philippines after few years in the U.S. We are still researching about which part of the Philippines that we should live to suit our lifestyle. City? Province? We love them both, but there are many factors to consider. As of this time Philippines is very scary to live in. Because of everything whats going on in the Philippines politically. Its just a little different now after the new president of the Philippines. He is a bit scary! Its just hard to feel safe after you hear thousands of people getting killed in the Philippines for drugs. Drugs are bad of course, but we feel that each Filipino should have their day in court instead of getting killed without being able to defend themselves in the court of law. I am very sad every time i hear the news from the Philippines. Its because Philippines is supposed to be a very safe and free country, and lately it seems to be moving in the wrong direction.
Now I am not really sure, Me and my husband are still confused about relocating in the Philippines. But we cant deny that Philippines is still the best Place to live in the future. Because of all the beautiful Philippine Islands, cheaper living, nice tropical weather, religious and cultural country. My husband is always miss Philippines after he been there twice already. He is always amazed and happy to be in the Philippines. Me and my Husband are definitely going back in the Philippines soon, and we definitely going to move in the Philippines in the near future.
Philippines is Divided into 3 Parts of Island Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao. After I learned about my Own country Philippines.
Now I am going to share with you what I know about Metro Manila (center of Luzon). About Cebu City center of Visayas, and about Mindanao the 3 part of of Philippines. When I was in the Philippines I been Visiting Manila, Cebu City, and Davao City Mindanao.Lets talk about this 3 Part of Philippines. Lets see which part of Philippines is really the best to Visit, To live in. Lets see which part of the Philippines is safer than you think.
Luzon: Metro Manila
I been in Makati Metro Manila few times, Manila is fine if you have a lot of money. If you don't have money it would suck to live there. When I was in Manila, every time I go to grocery is fucking expensive. I really don't know if there is one thing I like about Manila. Every time you go somewhere, taxi drivers tries to rip you off. Oh yeah, i hated the Transportation in NAIA ( Ninoy Aquino International Airport ). When you exit the airport, Its hard to find a taxi plus there is many people and the taxi is very expensive.
And another thing I really hated about Manila is Traffic. You will spend half of your time siting in the taxi waiting for traffic. It's hot, smell, humid and polluted. So I cant Recommended to the travelers Manila. Because for me Manila is very not safe and nice place to live in. Maybe its okay for visitors for few days. If you love scary adventure go to Manila.
I live in Cebu City For 6 Years before i move in United States. Cebu City is the best place I ever been in my entire life. Cebu City is religious place and it has so many beautiful islands. When you visit Cebu City you wont feel nervous at all.
The Taxi drivers are very friendly, And it less traffic unlike Manila. That is why i choose to live in Cebu City for few years because i feel very safe. I love to recommended Cebu City for all the travelers and foreigners who want to relocate in the Philippines.
Cebu City has a lot of fun places, Like bar, sports bar, Adventures, Manila has that too. But Manila is very crowded plus i can say its too much red light districts in Manila and I guess you know what it means. If you are looking for fun or good timer you can always go anywhere in the Philippines. Me and my husband thinking about living in Cebu City Philippines. But will see, where the winds bring us.
I am originally from Mindanao but I move to Cebu City. I like Mindanao because I was raise and born there and I love the Beautiful wild nature Mindanao has.And only in Mindanao you can eat healthy way, all the food in Mindanao is very organic. But the only problem in Mindanao is not all regions of it is safe. Specially the province where I am from in Zamboanga Del Norte or Zamboanga Peninsula. There is always a problem against Muslim but I know there is many Muslims that are very nice people. But there is always a bad ones like most of the Muslim who live in my hometown Zamboanga Del Norte.
There is 1 part of Mindanao which is safe that i think, And tourist spots. Me and my husband been in Davao City the Center of Mindanao. We been anywhere in Davao City we feel safe and we actually enjoy staying there. I love the Public Market and very cheap vegetables, fresh fish, fruits. But Its just not a good choice to live in, when you are going back and port to United States and Philippines. Because there is no Direct Flight from international country in Davao City. So me and my husband thinking to move somewhere safe and fun soon. Maybe we are going to choose part of Visayas. Maybe will see though.http://www.flyintotheworld.com/pasay-makati-beach-resort-hotels-affordable-condo-budget-pool/ http://www.flyintotheworld.com/top-10-things-fun-to-do-in-cebu-city-beach-restaurant-adventures/ http://www.flyintotheworld.com/what-to-expect-in-the-philippines-for-the-new-travelers/ http://www.flyintotheworld.com/direction-to-bantayan-island-cebu-city-guide-tips/ http://www.flyintotheworld.com/travel-guide-to-kawasan-falls-badian-cebu-bus-farebest-time-to-go/
