See a drag show with a side of bacon at Dish Restaurant's drag brunch

Dish Restaurant on Cedar Springs brings something fabulous to your ordinary eggs benedict and mimosa brunch - drag queens.

Every last Sunday of the month, restaurant-goers can experience one of the most lively drag shows in Dallas with a side of bacon. So what should you expect from the Dish Drag Brunch? Happy you asked.

The basics

The last Sunday of every month, Dish's Cedar Springs location offers a three-course brunch for $30. There are three seatings per Sunday at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 2:30 p.m. They fill up quick so don't expect to just walk in and grab a table. Make reservations ahead of time. Also, make sure you have some extra change to tip the performers as they walk around.

Arrive early: Drag Brunch libations are delicious. Arrive about 15 minutes early to drop your car off at valet, check-in with the hostess, and grab a Blood Orange Mimosa or a glass of Drag Sangria at the bar.

Take in your surroundings: This isn't your average brunch spot. Cascading beaded curtains lit with multi-colored lights fall from the ceiling and extravagant white chandeliers hang throughout the restaurant. You won't feel like you're at brunch, you'll feel like you're in Uptown at your favorite club. The DJ spins club favorites and remixes throughout your meal. (Check out the playlist below to get a feel for the music.)

Use discretion: Dish may be the most fun you'll have on a Sunday morning, but you might want to hire a babysitter for your toddler who is starting to repeat everything he hears. And maybe leave your Catholic mother-in-law at home. Drag brunch is high-paced, and raunchy in the best ways possible.

The goods: After being seated you'll receive your drag brunch menu. First course is a pastry basket. Then choose from a variety of main courses. Don't forget to leave room for the third course, dessert.

The entertainment (a.k.a. the reason you're here)

There are three acts during the course of your meal. First, the DJ will introduce the host - The Mouth of Dallas, and boy does she have one. Her quick one-liners and foul-mouthed vocabulary will have you clutching your stomach in hysterics. You can also catch her doing makeup professionally at Neiman's Armani counter at North Park (ask for Jeff). The Mouth of Dallas introduces each act - Miss Krystal Summers, who was the lead in a Tribeca Film Festival film; Dallas Sheraton, who runs her own YouTube channel; and Nova Starr, the maker of crowns for RuPaul's Drag Race, the popular LogoTV show.
