According to the Rumor Stop, a page that Eagle Mountain City has, there has been an additional delay to two of the anticipated road projects in the City Center. One of them is the traffic signal at Bobby Wren and Pony Express Parkway, the other one is the addition of the second land in front of City Hall.The City implemented the Rumor Stop page in 2021 as an avenue for residents to ask questions and have the city "officially" respond to those questions. Two of the FACTs given by the city for two of the questions were modified recently.Rumor: When is a traffic light going in at Bobby Wren?Current city response: "Fact: The City had anticipated installing the light by the end of 2021. Now that a partner organization has relocated existing power boxes to accommodate the work, the City has requested approval from the state of Utah for parts and installation. Installation of traffic light materials took place in April. Work is currently underway to run power to the traffic lights."Previous city response: "Fact: The City had anticipated installing the light by the end of 2021. Now that a partner organization has relocated existing power boxes to accommodate the work, the City has requested approval from the state of Utah for parts and installation. The City anticipates material being released on March 28. At this time work is anticipated for completion at end of April 2022."Rumor: Why does the east lane end momentarily on Pony Express at Trail Head Road?Current city response: "Fact: Due to an inability to lay concrete prior to colder temperatures in 2021, the Pony Express Parkway widening project was delayed until work could commence once again in 2022. Work is currently underway on this final section of roadway. Work is anticipated for completion in May 2022."Previous city response: "This will be fixed as soon as Rocky Mountain Power can relocate two power boxes at the intersection. Their project was delayed due to material supply and easement issues but is expected to be completed in the summer of 2022 or depending when materials become available."Looks like residents will have to deal with the condition of Pony Express Parkway for a little while longer.
